For those who haven’t seen it yet former Birmingham Mail editor Steve Dyson’s new blog on HoldtheFrontPage is worth a look.
Acting as a roving reviewer Dyson takes a look at various regional newspapers across the country.
Following a scathing critique on the merits of the York Post, Dyson has this week turned his attention to the Peterborough Evening Telegraph.
This post is much more complimentary this time, although he does have some criticism for the paper’s business section (what regional editor isn’t told to fill it with client promoting fluff, Steve?) leading to the somewhat sexist headline ‘Nice pegs shame about the Biz’ or as we used to say at school, ‘Baywatch body, Crimewatch face’.
